In The Studio
WELCOME TO NATURAL ZEN HOME FRAGRANCE STUDIO!
Our candle studio is located in beautiful Bridge Lake, British Columbia and it is one of our favorite places to be. Here is a small peek inside our studio during our candle making process.
Our natural candles and wax melts are all handcrafted in small batches by our chandler and co-founder Brett. Here, he is placing the organic ring spun cotton wicks into the jars to prep them for pouring. He is attaching wick stabilizers, so the wicks remain centered when the wax is poured.
Our unique blend of candelilla and organic coconut oil is eco-friendly and one of the only naturally found waxes. It burns beautifully, clean and creamy and it makes for a luxurious wax experience. Brett pours from the large wax melter into pour pitchers to fill the prepared candle jars.
We do not use any additives or synthetics. We use only Nature’s finest ingredients. Our fragrances are cold pressed and extracted directly from plants, providing the true scents of Nature. Brett is adding the oil to the pitcher filled with the molten wax he created. He is weighing it during the process to ensure consistency in your favorite natural candle scents.
We love working in the studio and creating luxurious home fragrance delights that are. safe for you and our planet. Scents ability to transform mood is powerful. It smells amazing in the studio on pouring days. Brett is now filling the candle jars with the naturally scented molten wax. A steady hand is required!
Next, it is curing time. The candle trays slide into the rack and rolls to cure. It takes over a week for a candle to fully set and for its scent to develop depth. Our natural scents are genuinely beautiful, not overpowering or synthetic.
Next Brett trims all of the wicks and caps the candles to keep them dust free. It is really important to keep your wick trimmed to ¼ inch. See our candle care tips here.
